Probably every one of my Client’s who has come to me for a gift over the last 14 years has had me recommend a piece of jewelry with an evil eye. I wear one at all times and I love the symbolism. I also think the idea of wearing a piece of jewelry that says “I have your back” or “I am looking out for you always” means a lot. So at Rocks with Soul, we have evil eye necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings in just about every different iteration.
What is an evil eye? The evil eye dates back almost 3000 years to ancient Greece and Rome and it is one of the strongest symbolic images in the world.
Wearing an evil eye is believed to provide protection against evil forces. The evil eye has symbolism in almost every country and in nearly every religion including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hindu and Buddhism.
So yes, hearts are always a wonderful token of love and stars are chic and fabulous but a gift that says “I will protect you” …… well, that has my vote every time.
